result of meeting form Oct 28, 2009:
task is ongoing; some parallelization is possible regardless of shared memory and can thus be realized more quickly; other issues need more elaboration; issue is addressed in ongoing research within SINGULAR-team; for the time being, we leave this ticket owned by "somebody"
