The .deb package for Singular cannot be installed as it depends upon libnt10, which does not exist. I think it should be libnet10 instead, which does exist.

I believe the bug (if it can be called a bug) lies with the Ubuntu repositories; the new repository vivid doesn't contain libntl0 (where that's 'l' as in 'loose'), but the old repository trusty does.

Resolution: not a bug
Status: newclosed

Yes, the package was build for ubuntu 14.04 (the LTS version). Using it with other versions may or may not work. (NTL published several (10) binary incomplatible version within the last year)
