3.9.2 Tracing of procedures

Setting the TRACE variable to 1 (resp. 3) results in reporting of all procedure entries and exits (resp. together with line numbers). If TRACE is set to 4, Singular displays each line before its interpretation and waits for the RETURN key being pressed.
5.3.9 TRACE
See TRACE var.

Example:

  proc t1
  {
    int i=2;
    while (i>0)
    { i=i-1; }
  }
  TRACE=3;
  t1();
==>
==> entering t1 (level 0)
==> {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}{4}{5}{6}{7}{4}{5}{6}{7}{4}{6}{7}{8}
==> leaving  t1 (level 0)
