You can get .emacs-singular from
https://github.com/Singular/Singular/blob/spielwiese/emacs/.emacs-singular

Dear Singular team,

I have installed Singular on a machine running Ubuntu Server 20.04 using the Ubuntu repository (apt-get install singular that installs Singular 4.1.1).

Singular works fine but ESingular does not work, I get the following error:
$ ESingular
Error: Can't find emacs load file for Singular mode.
Expected it at /bin/../share/singular/emacs/.emacs-singular
Specify with --emacs_load option,
or set ESINGULAR_EMACS_LOAD environment variable,
or put file '.emacs-singular' in your home directory.
Use `ESingular --help' for a complete list of options

I have tried to locate the file '.emacs-singular' but it seems that this file is not on my computer.

I do have emacs installed (build 2, x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 3.24.14)

Thanks for the help.
